FAQ: Joining other projects
Hello Project Members,
As you all know, our specific project primary runs through Family Tree DNA. However, the nature of our work means that we are affiliated with other projects at FTDNA as well as other companies entirely. It is often necessarily or at least very helpful for project members to be in each project, as long as it applies to the amount of testing already done. Please follow these instructions to join each specific project group. Thank you!
AvotaynuDNA Project at FTDNA - For all project members who have tested with FTDNA
1) Sign into your account at www.familytreedna.com/my/
2) Go to the Avotaynu project page: https://www.familytreedna.com/groups/avotaynu/about
3) Click "JOIN" in the upper right.
4) Generally, it is best if you give them advanced access which they may need if you ever end up ordering a Big Y test through them.
5) Follow through all the steps and it will be complete!
E-Y14891 Project at YSEQ.net - For all project members who have tested individual STRs/SNPs through YSEQ
1) Go to this link: https://www.yseq.net/group_action.php?action=join&gid=276
2) Sign in using your YSEQ login information. Check your emails from them if you forgot.
3) Complete the join process and you're in!
E-Y14891 Project at YFull - For all project members who have tested with the Big Y (or any equivalent test) and have already submitted their BAM file to YFull
1) Go to this link: https://www.yfull.com/groups/e-y14891/create-join-request/
2) Login using your YFull information and complete the join process.
3) Complete!

Also, to set geographic info for YFull:
1) Go to https://yfull.com/settings
2) Hover over SETTINGS at the line corresponding to the kit in question
3) Click on Country of Origin
4) Select the country and region from the corresponding pull-down menus
5) Click on Save
